About us and how we work
See our about us page.
-
We make, supply and fit internal doors, external and front doors, bespoke made-to-measure doors, sliding wardrobe doors, fire doors, staircase balustrades, handrails and spindles, and timber shop fronts for homes and commercial premises. We have been doing it since 1996 from our showroom and factory at Whiteside Industrial Estate in Bathgate, West Lothian, with our own in-house craftsmen and spray booth.
-
We supply and fit. On most of our ranges the door comes as a supplied-and-fitted package, measured by us, made to fit and installed by our own fitters, so supply-only is not available on most doors. If you only need a door supplied, tell us what you are after and we will say straight away whether that range can be sold on its own.
-
Yes. Our doors are made to measure, so they fit non-standard openings and older properties properly. Final sizes are confirmed at survey before anything is manufactured.
-
Yes. We offer a free home visit to measure accurately, talk through styles and glazing and give you a tailored, no-obligation quotation. You are also welcome at our Bathgate showroom. Once you send a request we will contact you to arrange a date and time.
-
Yes. We take your old doors, frames and components away and dispose of them responsibly as part of the installation. There is a small charge for this: £7 per internal door and £25 per external door, shown clearly on your quote.
-
Yes. Everything we supply and fit meets the relevant building regulations and safety standards. In Scotland that means the Scottish Building Standards, and we fit to the standard that applies to your home or premises.
-
We are based in Bathgate, West Lothian and supply and fit throughout Scotland, including Edinburgh and the central belt, and we can fit anywhere in the UK. Send us your postcode and we will confirm quickly.
-

Yes. Finance is available on orders from £750 to £15,000, repaid over 12 to 36 months, arranged through our credit broker Ideal4Finance. It is interest-bearing credit, so the total you repay is more than the cash price. Use our finance calculator to see what the monthly payments could look like, or ask when you enquire.
-
We ask for a £200 deposit when you place your order. The balance is due on completion, once your doors are fitted and you are happy with them.
-
Our products are guaranteed for a minimum of 10 years and our workmanship for a minimum of 1 year. If anything needs attention with the fitting in that first year, call us and we will put it right. We do not offer a general door repair service beyond that guarantee, but we will always give you straight advice on the best way forward.
Lead times and installation
See our request a home visit page.
-
Standard doors are usually fitted 6 to 8 weeks from order. Bespoke timber doors, which are made to your design in our factory, take around 16 to 18 weeks. We confirm your dates when you order.
-
Installation dates are agreed once manufacturing is complete and our fitters' availability is confirmed. We can usually pencil in a provisional date early on and confirm it as your doors move through production, and if your plans change we will do our best to adjust the timing to suit you. We keep you informed throughout and let you know when your doors are ready.
-
Delays are rare, but they can happen if a material is held up in manufacture or supply. If that affects your order we tell you straight away and agree a new date.
-
Manufacturing starts once your final measurements and specification are approved. Doors are painted or finished in our own spray booth before installation, so they arrive ready to hang.
-
Fitting an internal door usually takes 1 to 2 hours per door, depending on size and how much work the opening needs. A full house of doors is normally done in a day.
Internal doors
See our internal doors page.
-
We supply and fit solid timber, engineered timber, uPVC, glazed, coloured and white internal doors, including oak, walnut, hardwood and pine, plus sliding wardrobe doors. All are available made to measure.
-
Yes, provided the existing frame is square, secure and in good condition. We check this at survey and tell you if the frame should be replaced too.
-
Solid-core and solid timber doors reduce noise between rooms noticeably better than hollow doors. If sound matters, for a bedroom or home office, say, we will steer you towards a solid door.

Oak, walnut, hardwood, pine and engineered timber internal doors, in a wide range of panel, glazed and contemporary styles, all made to measure.
-
Both. Engineered doors have a stable core with a real timber face, which makes them less likely to move; solid doors are timber all the way through. We will advise which suits your home.
-

-
Yes. In many cases only the balustrade components need replacing, which transforms the look of the stair without touching the treads.

Spindles are the vertical supports beneath the handrail that form the infill of the balustrade.
